Information for Distance Education
Plaut Pedagogy’s tools for immersive learning in math education are well-suited for distance education. Here are a few key points about the process:
The currently available materials are most suited to a first course in linear algebra, with a broad range of possible learning objectives. The textbook Interactive Linear Algebra is ready to pre-order for Fall 2026.
The software is easy to use and self-contained.
The Interactive Linear Algebra e-book will link directly to the associated MathMentorApp website for ease of use.
Students will purchase a reasonably priced license to use the software.
Students “learn by doing”—the structure of the companion software impedes use of AI or other online short-cuts.
Misuse of online resources during timed remote testing is thwarted by the need to input steps in real time.
Plaut Pedagogy’s upcoming project will produce materials for Calculus I.
